- Check the drum capacity of your washing machine according to the size of the carpet. If your washer is too small, opt for professional cleaning.
- Be sure to clean the filters in your washing machine and tumble dryer after use, as wool carpets normally shed fibres.
- Remove the carpet from the washing machine and lay it out in a dry place or place it directly in the tumble dryer at a low temperature.
Never leave the carpet wet in the washing machine after washing, as moisture can cause colour transfer and damage the carpet's original dyes.
