Our commitments at Hopono


Quality products:

Design lovers who respect the environment with a balanced budget.

At Hopono, we have chosen to offer you modern, trendy products of impeccable quality by working mainly with European brands, close to us and of high quality. This allows us to be sure of the origin of the materials, the quality of the products and to communicate with the brand if necessary.

We work closely with local suppliers and manufacturers in order to favour short circuits and local production, because we cannot repeat it enough, our environment and its future depend on us and our daily actions.

For this very important part of Hopono, Sébastien and Julie are at the helm, the ideal duo for this. Of course, most of the products you find at Hopono are favourites.

We like to have brands from all over Europe in our concept store. However, nothing beats the pleasure of working with Belgian brands, such as Komono, Wondr, Neuville, Mya Bay, Nooz Optic or Serax. These different Belgian brands all bring the love of our flat country for creation, but when it comes to "Belgitude", we are lucky to work with brands that are not afraid to show the Belgian in them. Who are we talking about? Well, brands such as Belge une fois, Hopop or Vinch.

Healthy products:

Part of Hopono's DNA.

From the very beginning, the question of healthy products was raised. When the shop opened, Hopono was the first company in Brussels to offer a full range of metal, glass and BPA-free water bottles and lunchboxes, which directly reflected our desire to move towards a world that respects the environment of our customers.

Over the years, we have established partnerships and collaborations with brands that share our goal of minimising and/or reducing their environmental impact over time. We have been able to establish collaborations with the French brand Faguo, the French brand Cabaïa, the Belgian brand Komono, the Dutch brand Fresk and the Spanish brand Wouf. All these collaborations have developed our desire and our will to go further in respecting the environment, our customers and your budget.

In addition to these various collaborations, we organise a special day for an association every year. At the end of this day, a percentage of the day's sales is donated to the association in order to support it and to mark our commitment to causes that touch us.

Since 2021, we have decided to participate in the Kadolog adventure, this Belgian platform helps you create gift lists (wedding, birth, birthday...) in complete freedom. The platform works in several different ways. First of all, you can use it as a kitty and get the money back on your account or you can put a list of the different products you like with their prices and the different shops (like ours) where people can go in order to offer them to you.

Zero waste:

An innate approach for Hopono.

In this desire to respect the environment, and since the opening of our shop, we have implemented various solutions to reduce our impact on the environment.

  • 2012: End of plastic bags, we replaced them with paper bags.
    2013: Replaced traditional lighting with LEDs throughout our shop, including in our new section which is currently under construction.
    2014: We implemented a recycling system for the delivery boxes we received. We reused them directly for our e-commerce orders.
    2018 : The end of the automatic shopping bag at the checkout. We only give out bags when the customer asks for them or if it is felt that the person cannot walk around with their purchases in their hands.
    2019 : All electricity in our shop is from Eneco's green energy.
    2020 : Bicycle delivery in the 19 municipalities of Brussels
  • 2022 : The new extension of the concept store (300m2) is powered by solar panels.
