About Us
Behind Hopono are Sébastien, Julie, and Jean-Philippe.
It all began in 2010 when Sébastien and Jean-Philippe had the idea of developing a concept to offer a new way of consuming. It was later, in October 2011, that the Hopono adventure truly began with the opening of the first store on Rue du Bailli in Ixelles. The name Hopono comes from hoʻoponopono, a Hawaiian philosophy that advocates living in harmony with our surroundings.
Now located at 51/53 Rue Simonis, Hopono is Brussels' largest lifestyle concept store. Expanding from 300 m² at its previous location to 600 m² today, the store has managed to maintain its family atmosphere.
The Hopono team is a melting pot of cultures, intelligence, and creativity, which translates daily into an ultra-friendly welcome, top-notch expertise, and plenty of laughter.
Each member of this team brings a different experience and, above all, a different vision of the world and life, which is reflected in the concept store. These different visions make our concept store a unique place where the entire team enjoys informing you, guiding you, and most importantly, smiling and having fun.
In fact, you'll often hear us laughing and singing in the aisles (feel free to join in). As you can see, at Hopono, the team is first and foremost a group of people with bright personalities, always ready to laugh and advise you on your purchases.
