Fan de bijoux ! Comment bien les choisir et les entretenir ?

At Hopono, we offer all types of jewellery: costume, affordable, more upmarket, cotton, cord, with little messages, gold and silver plated, pearls, leather, natural stones... But how do you take care of them once they're in your home? Personally, I never know how to do it, so I don't risk it (yes, I know it's not a great excuse, but it's true).

First of all, choosing the jewellery

On our web shop, in the bracelets category, you'll find this advice on how to choose the right one for you. I think they're very relevant, because apart from falling in love with a piece of jewellery, fastening it on and taking it off shouldn't put your nerves to the test... Sometimes it's better to give up on a piece of jewellery that's too complicated than never to wear it at all. With experience, you get to know yourself better and attach more importance to it.

Bracelet style and design: bracelets come in different styles, from delicate chains to cuffs. Choose a design that suits your fashion tastes and reflects your personality. Ask yourself whether you prefer a classic, timeless piece or a more contemporary, trendy style.

Bracelet fastening: the type of fastening can affect how easy it is to wear and remove the bracelet. Lobster clasps, toggle clasps and magnetic clasps are popular options. Choose a fastener that is secure and easy to use. For example the Little Lewis Pig And Hen Black / Black Bracelet has a sliding fastener which makes it very quick to remove. Adjustable bracelets with multiple positions are great as you can find the fit that's ideal for you (sometimes in the summer, joints are more swollen, so we appreciate the flexibility). The band bracelets are really cool because you can take them off in a flash! Depending on your lifestyle, you'll need to find the clasp that's best suited to you. The same goes for earrings, depending on whether you take them off every evening or not.

See you soon!
